Getting Involved in Marymass 2026
Marymass is, at its heart, a community festival.
We want everyone to get involved. From community groups to horse owners, bands, schools and anyone else with an interest. Here's a few ways you can get involved:
Fourth Port Parade, Sat 15th Aug
Calling all horse owners!
We are looking for anyone with a horse or horse and cart to come and get involved in our short Fourth Port Parade which will take place on Saturday 15th Aug.
This is a great opportunity to get the chance to trial your horse in a parade environment before Marymass Saturday the following week, or just to show off your horse with a walk around town.
No need to ride your horse, you can walk them too! This is for horses and riders of all abilities.
When? The parade takes place on Saturday 15th August with it moving off by 11am. (Parade assembles 10:45am)
Where? It starts on Second Avenue in Irvine
Does it cost? No, it is completely free to take part.
Where do I park? There is a designated car park at the main car park of Cunningham House, where you can walk up to Second Avenue from there.
The parade snakes through Fullarton & Harbourside before ending at Cunninghamme House at 1pm.
For additional information, feel free to drop us a message. We hope to see as many of you involved for both parades as possible!
Fourth Port Parade, Sat 15th Aug
Calling all kids & community groups
We're on the lookout for kids and community groups to get involved in our Fancy Dress Competition in our Fourth Port Parade this year!
Dress as anything you want, then take part in our parade to be entered in our competition for a chance to win cash prizes.
To join the fun, come along to Second Avenue, Irvine for 10.45am on Saturday 15th August where kids of any age can take part in their costumes and join the Marymass Fourth Port Parade.
After the parade, the judging will be done at Irvine Watersports Club, where from 12pm there is also a range of activities such as a disco, face painting, food and more!
The prizes go up to £75 for first place, with prizes for others too, so get looking for that amazing costume and we look forward to seeing what you all come up with!
The competition and family fun day is sponsored by the Harbourside Hotel & Marina View Guest House.
